Bradley University announces the Spring 2019 Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List a student must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale.

The University of Alabama awarded some 5,436 degrees during spring 2018 commencement May 4-6. More than 800 students received diplomas at Harding University's commencement exercises on May 5, 2018. Graduates include students from the College of Allied Health, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Bible and Ministry, Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration, Cannon-Clary College of Education, Carr College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Sciences, and the Honors College.

Columbia State Community College congratulates more than 430 graduates who earned their degree or certificate in May 2018, with 343 degree and certificate candidates recognized at the spring commencement ceremonies.

Columbia State Community College nursing faculty pinned 32 new nursing graduates in front of family and friends during a traditional ceremony held Friday, May 4 in the Webster Athletic Center.

A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The dean's list is published each semester by Dr. Marty Spears, University provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.

Seventeen students were inducted into Phi Sigma Iota, the University chapter of the foreign language honor society. To qualify, juniors or seniors with majors and/or minors in foreign languages must maintain a GPA above 3.0 and be in the top 35 percent of their class.
